Avast Antivirus is one of the top free antivirus programs. While some users prefer AVG or Avira, some others prefer Avast for some specific reasons. However, even if you think that Avast is the best free antivirus you’ve ever found so far, there are always chances that you have to uninstall Avast under certain situations. Users should be able to uninstall Avast antivirus easily, but some may find trouble when trying to uninstall it.
Uninstall Avast Antivirus 6 with the standard way
- The standard way of uninstalling the program is done through the Add or Remove Program in Windows XP or Programs and Features in Windows 7. To access the uninstaller, click Start menu and click Control Panel.
- Select “avast! Free Antivirus”, right-click it and click “Uninstall/Change” to display avast setup window and then select the [uninstall] icon to start uninstalling the program.
